I’ve always known I’d be a writer, and after college I spent 20 years working as a writer and editor, primarily in television and newspaper newsrooms where I received numerous awards for my work. I love talking with people, hearing their stories, then figuring out ways to tell these stories in a way that’s memorable for readers.
Over the past several years, I’ve worked as a freelance writer and editor for newspapers, magazines, universities and various brands with a wide range of projects.
In 2022, my book Widowland: A Collection of Essays on Grief was published. It focuses on the sudden death of my husband Colin in 2018, and explores how grief changes a person, from their brain chemistry to how they think and move forward with their lives.
